Logging in to your tv888 account is a quick and straightforward process, but keeping your account secure depends not only on tv888's systems — it also comes down to the steps you take on your end. In this section, we share a comprehensive guide on how to log in correctly and how to protect your account from unauthorized access.
Tv888 offers two main login methods for the convenience of Malaysian members. The first is the traditional login using your registered Malaysian phone number or email address along with your password. The second is a password-free login via OTP code sent by SMS to your Malaysian mobile number — ideal if you've forgotten your password or simply prefer SMS-based verification.
When you log in to tv888, all data transmitted between your device and tv888's servers is protected by 256-bit SSL encryption — the same security standard used by major Malaysian banking institutions such as Maybank and CIMB. This means your login credentials, including your password, cannot be intercepted or read by any third party, even if they gain access to your network traffic.
Beyond SSL encryption, tv888 also employs a system that detects suspicious login attempts. If our system identifies a login from a device you've never used before or from an unusual location, you'll receive a notification via SMS or email to confirm whether the login attempt was made by you. This adds an extra layer of protection to your tv888 account.
For a more secure tv888 login, we encourage all members to enable two-factor authentication (2FA) via account settings. With 2FA active, every login attempt requires an additional verification code sent to your Malaysian phone number via SMS — even if someone knows your password, they still cannot log in without access to your mobile phone.
For members using shared devices such as office computers or family tablets, it is essential not to save login credentials on those devices and to always log out after each session. tv888 has an auto-logout feature that ends your session after a set period of inactivity, but manually logging out is the safer practice.
If you've forgotten your tv888 password, the reset process is straightforward — enter your registered phone number or email in the "Forgot Password" form and a reset link will be sent to you within minutes. For security purposes, the link is valid for 30 minutes only and can be used once.
One important thing to keep in mind: tv888 will never ask for your account password via email, SMS or live chat. If you receive any such request claiming to be from tv888, it is a phishing attempt and you should not respond to it. Report it to the tv888 support team immediately through the official channel at support@tv888-jit.com.
Important Security Tips: Use a unique password for your tv888 account — never reuse a password from your email or other platforms. A strong password contains at least 8 characters with a mix of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers and symbols. Change your password every 3 months for optimal security.
Go to Account Settings and enable 2FA using your Malaysian mobile number. With 2FA active, every login requires an additional OTP SMS verification — a highly effective security layer even if your password is compromised.
Your tv888 password must be different from the one you use for email, social media, or any other platform. Use a password manager — such as the one built into your browser or a trusted third-party app — to generate and store strong passwords.
After logging in to your tv888 account, check your account activity history from time to time to ensure there are no logins from unrecognised devices or locations. If anything looks suspicious, change your password immediately and contact tv888 support.
Never leave your tv888 account logged in unattended on a device that others can access. Always log out fully when you're done and avoid selecting "Remember me" on shared devices.
Always make sure you log in at the official URL tv888-jit.com only. Be cautious of links in emails or SMS messages claiming to be from tv888 — check the URL carefully before entering your login details. tv888 will never ask for your password via email or SMS.
